The Bridge of Peace conference will bring together hundreds of women of different racial and ethnic backgrounds as "Sisters of Peace." They will participate in a dramatic and profoundly moving sisterhood ceremony where women of different ethnic backgrounds cross a beautifully crafted bridge of peace and reconciliation, to meet in the center and embrace. From this symbolic new beginning, women have the opportunity to participate in the healing of our world in a unique and personal way. There will be an elegant luncheon, professional multicultural shopping mall, professional entertainment, and an optional workshop: an unforgettable day filled with opportunities for getting to know one's "sister" and networking with like-minded Bay Area women.
Liz Fisher, author of "Gender Justice: Women's Rights are Human Rights" study and action guide based on the Platform for Action from the UN Fourth World Conference on Women, will be giving a training on how to teach the curriculum in classrooms and in the community.
