EVENTS

WOMEN AND MONEY REPORT

Aikya Param of Berkeley, California, publishes a monthly report called "Women and Money," which deals with economic justice and empowerment issues and is one year old this February. There is a listserve as well, called womenandmoney-L, and she will send out free featured articles via e-mail monthly by request. For more information, check out the web site http://www2.netcom.com/~aikya/womenandmoney.html or contact her at aikya@ix.netcom.com.

Since the publication aims to raise economic consciousness and promote prosperity for women and their families, it treats both entrepreneurship and labor unions sympathetically. Says Maia Penfold, "What you're doing is showing us how we can become more aware and work to empower one another and empower one another, instead of developing hostile attitudes."
