URGENT APPEAL FROM DR. TAM STEVENSON Please let me know ASAP all you know, or can find out about the National Coalition of Free Men, and their Bay Area coordinator, Sunnyvale engineer, Pradeep Ramanathan. Also, what do you know about the Men's Defense Association, and Men and Women for Gender Justice? My workshops have been picketed by members of these groups; I am being harassed; and my students have been threatened. When Andrea Johnson and Gloria Steinem came to Sonoma recently to promote " Girls Speak Out," they were also given a hard time here. I'm concerned about safety issues first, and more broadly, First Amendment rights. Your thoughtful attention to this query is most appreciated. Yours in sisterhood, Tamsen Stevenson, Ph.D. Prof. Anthropology/ Women's Studies; Co-Chair WIN/CAWA Task Force on the Girl Child ( Girls and Young Women of California)
