In each week's Update, I have been listing events--either in the San Francisco Bay Area or of national scope--related to follow-up to the Fourth UN World Conference on Women or issues covered in the Platform for Action document. Now that event information is available in a new form--a web site. Judi Clark of ManyMedia has created monthly calendar pages at the web site of her nonprofit organization, WomensWork.
Each calendar page has a layout of the month and a list of events linked to event descriptions. This format allows you to get an overall view first and then particular information. I will post a summary as part of Updates but not the details; so bookmark the site and visit it frequently. The URL is http://www.womenswork.org/calendar/cal.html.
If you would like to have an event posted, please send it directly to Judi at jclark@womenswork.org.If any of you receive e-mail but do not have web access, please let me know, and we will work out some way of getting you information from the web site.
A final note about financial support: As the calendar site grows--and I think it will because it is the only web calendar featuring a spectrum of women's activities in the San Francisco Bay Area--the project will need funding to pay for staff time. Any suggestions or offers regarding financial support will be greatly appreciated.
These are the last detailed Update event listings.
