| Program Description | RWC's foremost goal is to provide a supporting group for the women students (undergraduate and graduate) in the CS department at Rice. The program hosts lunches with women in CS speakers, involves and invites other women in computing from the Rice Community (support, alumni, and women from an affiliated research group, the CRPC) to get involved, and sent representatives to the Grace Hopper Celebration. Future plans include helping students find summer programs to participate in, a RWC homepage on the WWW, and a mentoring program with younger girls from the Rice K-8 school to get them interested in computers. |

| General Comments | RWC was formed in late spring of 1994 with the suggestion of the CS department head. We haven't done a lot yet, but have plans for all sorts of activities and programs. |
