Program Name Reentry Program in Computer Science & Women in Computer Science & Engineering (WICSE)
Program Description The Reentry Program is a means for women (and under-represented minorities) without a B.S. in C.S to get the background they need to apply to grad school in C.S. Women in Computer Science & Engineering group which includes all female grad students in the department (approx. 80 in 1994). WICSE holds weekly lunch meetings and receives some funding from the department, from the campus-wide grad assembly and from industrial donations. WICSE has also sponsored visiting professors speaking at lunch and forums on women in academia.
